Went down to the reef-break this afternoon trying for some backlight shots of some surfer friends. I did get a few and will add others later.

The Abyss at Ho’okipa
Ho'okipa beach and the wind was offshore, the waves huge, at least by this haole's standards. No windsurfers, but lots of surfers out. All I can say is you have to be pretty brave to surf at this location in these waves -- they're fast, furious, and powerful

Hawaii Surf Session Report
The North shore is pulling some waves along with on-shore winds at about 5-10 mph the conditions were fairly good. Waves were steady at about a 3-4 foot range. Out in the water you might see all sorts of womens pro surfers ( Megan Abubo & Coco Ho ) and some ammatures too. As well as some guys that you may recognize, some surfing some walking... here's a hint ((HE plays John Locke on ABC's LOST)) Also there are a few new faces I can introduce you to they are here form England and these British surfers are here as a crew under the guidance of coach Joel Gray, Team Surf Solutions.
