Hawaii Surf Session Report. Post Date: June 9th, 2006. Locations: West Side & East Side, Oahu. Secret Spot and Portlock's China Walls. This was going to be my only chance this next few days to go out and shoot surf so I wanted to go out of my way to bring you 2 different corners of the island. Over in the country Kaena point was recieving early signs of this weekends swell. While mid day the swell was picking up over on the east side at China Walls. Waves were steadily picking up as the day went on.

Buzzy Kerbox, Big Wave Surfer
Buzzy Kerbox is another guy who is GREAT at what he does. I did this profile on him in Hawaii a couple of years back. It was my first chance to shoot "tow-in" surfing, and includes footage of the infamous "Jaws"-- a giant series of waves off the coast of Maui. Besides being world-class at what he does, Buzzy is as nice a guy as you'd ever want to meet. He is a fantastic ambassador for his sport. If you ever get a chance to hang with him, take it!

Hawaii Surf Session Report
The North shore is pulling some waves along with on-shore winds at about 5-10 mph the conditions were fairly good. Waves were steady at about a 3-4 foot range. Out in the water you might see all sorts of womens pro surfers ( Megan Abubo & Coco Ho ) and some ammatures too. As well as some guys that you may recognize, some surfing some walking... here's a hint ((HE plays John Locke on ABC's LOST)) Also there are a few new faces I can introduce you to they are here form England and these British surfers are here as a crew under the guidance of coach Joel Gray, Team Surf Solutions.
