Surfing in Encinitas, CA
This woman surfer was fast and agile. One of two women surfers who appeared to be friends. She started out with a baseball cap and then it fell off. The hat floated ashore a little later and I was able to hand it to her when she and her friend left. In case you're reading this, thanks for the opportunity to get some great photos of you.

Wipeout at Moonlight
Sometimes a wipeout is more spectacular than a good ride. He was trying to do a 180 when the board got away. CRASH and BURN or better yet a bit of a washing machine and sand. Best viewed large.
This was taken at the D st beach near Moonlight beach. See some of my other beach shots at www.flickr.com/photos/casch/sets/72057594140067789/

The most beautiful beach I've ever experienced. And in an unexpected twist, a storm had brewed up in the distance and we followed the jeeps topped with surfboards along North Shore.
